

BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST


Back for year 16! The Beast will be held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA, the A5 Sportsplex in Alpharetta, GA and the Suwanee Sports Academy in Suwanee, GA. In 2022 the event drew 220 teams and in 2023 it grew to 288 teams and the growth continue in 2024 it grew to 320 teams. In the last two years 100+ teams have qualified for USAV Nationals that have attended this event. This event traditionally features some of the best clubs throughout the Southeast!

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
*Four to Five Matches Guaranteed
Saturday (Day One)
The format will consist of pool play (AM/PM wave)
Sunday (Day Two)
Elimination bracket play on Sunday.
*Teams that receive a first round bye are not guaranteed a consolation match
DIVISIONS
Open/Power - Elite competition level featuring the most skilled teams
Club - Competitive teams with moderate experience
Local - Teams with limited experience, focused on development
TIE-BREAKERS
There will NOT be any tie-breaking games played.
2-Way Tie
In the case of a tie, the teams will be ranked by head-to-head results
3-Way Tie
In the case of a 3-way tie: set percentage, and then, if necessary, point percentage.
REGISTRATION
Registration for this event will open on September 1, 2025. The deadline for entry is January 16, 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached. Registration for this tournament is done through www.sportwrench.com. Payments received after the deadline will have a $100 surcharge added.
SCHEDULE
Schedules will be posted the Wednesday prior to the tournament weekend. Schedule related questions will not be addressed until after the schedule has been posted.
LIVE SCHEDULE
Occasionally, there are unavoidable changes that happen after the schedule is posted on Wednesday. It is best practice to check back the day before the tournament to ensure there have been no changes.
ADMISSIONS
Upon purchase a QR code will be sent via email. This QR code will need to be presented along with a valid form of ID i.e. drivers license for entry into the tournament. This process is done in order to ensure that our events are kept private and to better protect the athletes and spectators. Children under 5 are free.

AWARDS
1st and 2nd place in the Gold Bracket will receive awards.
HOTELS
We offer a Preferred Stay and Play Hotel Company to help with your hotel reservations. CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ON HOTELS If you are within driving distance from the venue 90 miles, we will waive the hotel requirements. The hotel requirements are 8 total Hotel Nights. AROUND 10/1
OFFICIALS
The tournament will supply R1 officials for all courts and matches. Each team will need to supply the rest of the officiating crew. For the finals the tournament will try to also supply R2.
TEAM OFFICIATING OBLIGATIONS
Referee schedules are included in the pool play assignments. With few exceptions, teams losing a bracket play will ref the next match on that court. It is possible that your team will have to ref the match before you play, regardless of your match time. If your scheduled to ref a match before you play, please be in place no later than 30 minutes prior to the start time.

A5 Sportsplex - Parking is conveniently located at the facility.

Overflow parking can be found across Houze Way at the Tolbert Yilmaz Dance Studio. Please use the parking at the back of the facility.
FACILITY RULES
Due to the incidents in the previous years, there will be a NO TOLERANCE policy for misbehavior by athletes/teams and spectators in the venues. Ball Handling is allowed on the volleyball courts only.
Coolers and outside food and drink are NOT ALLOWED in the playing facilities. Only water and sports drinks may be brought inside the facilities. Violation of these policies or any other general misbehaviors may result in IMMEDIATE dismissal from the facility for the remainder of the day.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS
Athletic Trainers are provided through Emory Healthcare Sports Medicine. Athletic Trainers who are available to tape and assist with minor injuries as well as serve as a first responder to more serious injuries. Athletes are encouraged to provide tape and pre-warp for any pre-existing needs. Tape and pre-wrap are only provided by the tournament for emergency purposes.
ARTIFICIAL NOISE
No Speakers, radios, air horns, bells or the like will be permitted in the gym.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
FOOD TABLES
There will be no food tables permitted at any A5 tournament used facility. Athletes need to keep water and snacks inside their backpacks.

TEAM CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

Withdrawal requests must be made in writing to tournaments@a5volleyball.com

Withdrawals made in writing by 45 or more days in advance will be refunded the full entry fee.

Withdrawals made in writing within 45 Days to 30 Days will receive a 50% refund.

Any team withdrawing after INSIDE OF 30 DAYS will forfeit its entire entry fee.

Paid entry fees are not transferable to another team within or outside of your club.

Processing fee is non-refundable.

Any team not attending and failing to withdraw with A5 Tournaments prior to the tournament may be subject to penalties for future participation in A5 Tournaments competition.
