SOUTHERN EXPOSURE
Now in its third-year event held on June 1-2 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, GA. This is a great way to get back to tournament form for USAV Nationals, AAU Nationals, or end of the season fun. This two-day two tournament with have pool play on day 1 followed by bracket play on day 2. In year 1 of this event 52 of the 139 teams were qualified for USAV Nationals. Last year we had 53 teams of the 133 teams qualified for USAV Nationals. The size of this event is limited to 196 teams.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The format will consist of Saturday pool play (AM/PM wave) followed by elimination bracket play on Sunday.
DIVISIONS
ELITE - For the highest level teams. (Open level or USA qualifying teams)
OPEN - For highly competitive teams. (National/Liberty caliber teams)
CLUB - For competitive regional teams. (American caliber teams)
COMMITTED CLUBS: Triangle, Gainesville Jrs, Carolina Union, Carolina Juniors, Upward Stars, NC Academy.
TIE-BREAKERS
For this year's event, there will NOT be any tie-breaking games played. In the case of a tie, the teams will be ranked by head-to-head results in case of a 2-way tie, or in the case of a 3-way tie: set percentage, and then, if necessary, point percentage.
REGISTRATION
Registration for this event will open on September 1, 2023. The deadline for entry is January 1, 2024, or earlier if capacity is reached. Registration for this tournament is done through Sportwrench.com. Payments received after the deadline will have a $100 surcharge added.
SCHEDULE
Schedules will be posted the Wednesday prior to the tournament weekend. Schedule related questions will not be addressed until after the schedule has been posted.
LIVE SCHEDULE
Occasionally, there are unavoidable changes that happen after the schedule is posted on Wednesday. It is best practice to check back the day before the tournament to ensure there have been no changes.
ADMISSIONS
Upon purchase a QR code will be sent via email. This QR code will need to be presented along with a valid form of ID i.e. drivers license for entry into the tournament. This process is done in order to ensure that our events are kept private and to better protect the athletes and spectators. Children under 5 are free.

AWARDS
1st and 2nd place in the Gold Bracket will receive awards.
HOTELS
This is a Stay to Play and Save tournament. Acceptance into this tournament requires that teams not only register and pay the entry fee, but maintain a confirmed hotel reservation through our housing agent TTS. In order for teams to reserve hotel rooms they must be registered in the event and have paid entry fees. Reservation requirements are 8 total room nights (1 Night 8 rooms, 2 nights 4 rooms each night).

OFFICIALS
The tournament will supply R1 officials for all courts and matches. Each team will need to supply the rest of the officiating crew. For the finals the tournament will try to also supply R2.
TEAM OFFICIATING OBLIGATIONS
Referee schedules are included in the pool play assignments. With few exceptions, teams losing a bracket play will ref the next match on that court. It is possible that your team will have to ref the match before you play, regardless of your match time. If your scheduled to ref a match before you play, please be in place no later than 30 minutes prior to the start time.

PARKING
A5 Sportsplex - Parking is conveniently located at the facility. Overflow parking can be found across Houze Way at the Tolbert Yilmaz Dance Studio. Please use the parking at the back of the facility.
Suwanee Sports Academy - Parking is conveniently located at the facility. Overflow parking can be found across McGinnis Ferry Road at Swuanee Creek Greenway parking lot.
FACILITY RULES
Due to the incidents in the previous years, there will be a NO TOLERANCE policy for misbehavior by athletes/teams and spectators in the venues. Ball Handling is allowed on the volleyball courts only.
Coolers and outside food and drink are NOT ALLOWED in the playing facilities. Only water and sports drinks may be brought inside the facilities. Violation of these policies or any other general misbehaviors may result in IMMEDIATE dismissal from the facility for the remainder of the day.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS
A5 Tournaments provide Athletic Trainers who are available to tape and assist with minor injuries as well as serve as a first responder to more serious injuries. Athletes must provide tape and pre-warp for any pre-existing needs. Tape and pre-wrap are only provided by the tournament for emergency purposes.
ARTIFICIAL NOISE
No Speakers, radios, air horns, bells or the like will be permitted in the gym.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
- A5 Sportsplex
Absolutely no outside food or beverage are permitted inside the facility. Team Coolers will not be allowed into the competition venue. Tailgating is permitted in the parking lot.
- Suwanee Sports Academy
The SSA have a concession stand onsite. Absolutely no outside food or beverage are permitted inside the facility. Team Coolers will not be allowed into the competition venue.
FOOD TABLES
There will be no food tables permitted at any A5 tournament used facility. Athletes need to keep water and snacks inside their backpacks.
ENTRY FEE
Entry fees can be paid online with a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) or check by mail. For entries received by mail, the date of receipt will be used to determine entry, not the postmark date. We will only accept a cashiers’ check or money order payable to:

No personal checks will be accepted. If paying by check, you must sign your team up online AND send a copy of the online registration along with the payment. See the Team Cancellation section for the refund policy.
TEAM CANCELLATION / REFUND by Policy
Withdrawals made in writing by 45 or more days in advance will be refunded the entry fee. Withdrawals made in writing between 45 Days and 30 Days will receive a 50% refund. Any team withdrawing after INSIDE OF 30 DAYS will forfeit its entire entry fee. Paid entry fees are not transferable to another team within or outside of your club. Any team not attending and failing to withdraw with A5 Tournaments prior to the tournament may be subject to penalties for future participation in A5 Tournaments competition. Withdrawal requests must be made in writing to tournaments@a5volleyball.com. Processing fee is non-refundable.
